Vision

It is our intent to guide the children of our school to learn through discovery.  We use developmentally appropriate curriculum in our preschool.  We believe that when children are allowed to approximate, infer, synthesize and analyze information while manipulating objects, learning becomes meaningful.  Learning should be a pleasant experience that not only motivates the child, but instills confidence, self-reliance, and independence. Our Christian educators will   provide opportunities for your child to grow socially, emotionally, cognitively, physically, and spiritually in a loving, nurturing, stimulating, non-stereotypical, anti-bias environment.

3. To encourage children to develop into individuals who can sustain themselves, feel good about themselves,

     and grow into their full potential as a child of God.

The Growing Place is a part of the Christian Education of First United Methodist Church of Coral Gables and welcomes children from all faiths and cultures.  We also invite families to participate in the worship services and special programs of the church.
