Weddings | Appropriate Conduct
ATTIRE: It is strongly suggested that the wedding party be appropriately dressed for the rehearsal as well as the wedding. Shorts are not permitted for the rehearsal. Please pass this information on to your wedding party.
The wedding party is expected to be at the church forty-five minutes before the ceremony and the bride at least 30 minutes. Ushers are needed to seat the guests. If you are having children in the wedding party, we suggest they be at least four (4) years of age.
The following activities are NOT ALLOWED ON CHURCH PROPERTY, INSIDE OR OUT:
- Smoking, or drinking of any beverages
- Food or drink in the building, including Bridal Room and Sanctuary
- Intoxicants of any kind in or on the church property
- Throwing of flower petals (fresh or silk), rice, confetti, bird seed, or bubbles on church property
- Members of the wedding party are expected to support the policies of the church and discourage friends and visitors from violating them. It is the responsibility of the bride and groom to make certain that these policies are made known to members of the wedding party prior to the wedding date.
