Worship

What to Expect

Guests to First United Methodist Church of Coral Gables will find a faith community of open hearts, open doors, and open minds. Outside the walls of our sanctuary and chapel, we live our faith daily through a broad range of fellowship and community outreach activities, as well as ministries for our children and youth, and study groups for intentional spiritual growth. We warmly welcome new members to our quarterly orientation classes, informal sessions during which you can learn how to become part of our church family.

Sunday Worship Services and Times

Traditional Worship

On Sunday mornings we offer two traditional worship services–8:30 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. We celebrate Holy Communion at both services on the first Sunday of every month.

The 8:30 a.m. service is held in our historic chapel (off Coral Way near the corner of Segovia). With a smaller group and more intimate atmosphere, this service offers a relaxed, less formal experience. As with all our worship services, music plays a central role with vocal and instrumental solos, and vocal ensembles.

The 11:00 a.m. service is held in our beautiful sanctuary (off Hernando, between Coral Way and Biltmore Way). This service offers a more traditional worship experience, with a fully robed choir, soloists, our beautiful Eldredge Memorial Organ, and often handbell choirs, instrumental ensembles, and children’s choirs.
