CONFIRMATION CLASS 2024

In 2024, five amazing young people — Kekoa Kihei, Hayden Midyette, Julius Pineda, Valerie Pineda, & Nathan Rocourt — have chosen to take the next steps in their faith journey and become members of First Coral Gables! As an expression of their hearts, the confirmands organized a service project to bring smiles to people who need it most. On March 17, these wonderful teens took Easter baskets filled with goodies to the residents of Kendall Lakes Health & Rehabilitation Center, who received them with much gratitude and love!

Be sure to watch on Easter Sunday, March 31st, as the Confirmation Celebration will be a part of the 11am Sanctuary Worship Service!

What is confirmation?

Confirmation is a safe space for youth to ask tough questions, to wrestle with their faith, & to have fun learning about God together. It’s a step in a life-long journey of pursuing the heights, depths, and breadth of God’s love!

What should I expect?

You should expect to have fun while growing in faith through biblical lessons, activities, videos, and new & meaningful friendships. We will cover a wide variety of topics from the life of Jesus to our purpose as Christ-followers, from creation to church history, baptism to salvation, & so much more. We’ll look at how are faith can inform our lives & transform our world!

Who is involved in confirmation?

Confirmation is for youth, ages 12 & up, who are ready to take the next step in their relationship with God! The Experience is led by our Associate Pastor, Rev. Jess Williams, & our Family Ministries Coordinator, Berenice Lazo. Our Senior Pastor, Rev. Dr. Hedy Collver, will also be a part of the fun. There will be adult leaders teaching the lessons, members of the church praying for each of the students, & mentors to walk with you on the journey!
